Mom's Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

I have several CC Cookie recipes but this is the favorite amongst my family.  The recipe makes soft cookies with a slightly crispy outer layer and just sweet enough to satisfy your cravings.  Melt in your mouth delicious!

Preheat oven at 350 Degrees F.

In bowl, mix:
1 cup butter
3/4 cup White Sugar or Substitute
3/4 cup Brown Sugar or Substitute

Beat in:
2 eggs
3 TBSP Hot Water
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 tsp Baking Soda
1tsp Salt

Remove from blender and stir in by hand until mixed completely:
3 cups All Purpose Flour

Fold in:
6-12oz Chocolate Chips (vary the amount, depending on how chocolatey you want your cookies)

Bake cookies for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned. I find that these cookies, in my oven, come out perfect after 11 minutes.

  1. So, I hit "Next Blog" at the top of my blog and ended up on your blog. I have an aunt and uncle who have lived in Edmond for a long time (Gary and Jan Bruce). I'm going to have to give those cookies a try!!

I'm finishing up a Master's in Ministry and would love your insight and involvement on my final project. I've posted on my blog an article titled: "least" (at last)

If you're interested then what I'm looking for is people to listen to songs and take some quick and simple surveys about how the lyrics speak to you spiritually. Any additional comments are, of course, welcome. I'm hoping to have a good cross-section of society to help focus my efforts.

In any event, I pray the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David, and Jesus bless you and yours.
